Lynn Hughes Wins Female Founder of the Year at the UK Business Tech Awards

Human Advertising is proud to celebrate a major milestone after founder Lynn Hughes was named Female Founder of the Year at the UK Business Tech Awards, held in London.

The awards recognise innovation, leadership and technological excellence across businesses throughout the UK, making Lynn’s win a standout achievement for her, the Human Advertising team and the next stage of products the company is bringing to market.

For more than 20 years, Human Advertising has built its reputation by helping businesses embrace new technology. From web design and digital marketing to software development, automation and AI, the company has continually adapted to changing markets. That willingness to evolve has enabled Human Advertising to remain relevant while many businesses have struggled to keep pace with rapid technological change.

Today, that same approach is driving the company’s biggest product transformation yet.

Rather than simply using artificial intelligence within its workflows, Human Advertising is now developing practical, AI-powered products that solve real business problems.

The first of these is BeCareers, an intelligent recruitment platform designed to make hiring faster, more consistent and significantly less time-consuming for employers.

BeCareers is designed to tackle one of recruitment’s biggest challenges.

A single vacancy can attract hundreds of applications. While employers may interview only a small number of candidates, someone still has to read every CV, identify the strongest applicants, and decide who deserves a phone call. The process is expensive, repetitive and often relies on making quick judgements based on limited information.

Traditional recruitment doesn’t scale well.

Many employers simply don’t have enough hours in the day to properly review every application. As a result, excellent candidates can easily be overlooked, while others advance simply because their CVs contain the right keywords.

BeCareers approaches this challenge differently.

When someone applies for a role, their CV is analysed before being passed to an AI Screening Agent. Rather than relying solely on keywords, the AI Screening Agent conducts an intelligent screening conversation with each applicant. It identifies missing information, asks tailored follow-up questions based on the role and the candidate’s experience, and builds a structured summary of every response.

The result is a far richer picture of every applicant before a recruiter or hiring manager becomes involved.

Instead of spending valuable time arranging and conducting dozens of initial screening calls, employers receive organised candidate summaries that make it much easier to identify which candidates should move forward for an interview.

The platform also removes another common barrier to recruitment by supporting conversations in more than 100 languages, allowing employers to engage with international talent in the candidate’s preferred language while receiving consistent summaries in English.

Importantly, BeCareers is not designed to replace recruiters or hiring managers.

The platform is built to remove repetitive administration and provide more accurate information earlier in the recruitment process, enabling people to make better-informed hiring decisions.

As BeCareers continues to develop, additional functionality will be introduced, including AI video and voice interviewing capabilities, giving employers even more flexibility as their recruitment needs evolve.

BeCareers will also form part of a wider recruitment ecosystem alongside GetMeCandidates.uk and GetMeHired.uk, creating a connected platform that brings employers and job seekers together while reducing reliance on traditional recruitment methods.

Speaking about the award, Lynn said:

“I’m incredibly proud to receive this recognition. Human Advertising has always been about combining creativity, technology and real commercial understanding. We’ve never stood still as technology has changed, and BeCareers represents the next stage of that journey. I’m especially proud of the fantastic team behind it who have helped turn an idea into a product with the potential to genuinely improve the recruitment process for businesses.”

While the Female Founder of the Year award recognises Lynn’s leadership and vision, it also reflects the work of the wider Human Advertising team.

Designers, developers, AI specialists and digital experts have all played a role in building the technologies that will shape the company’s future.

Human Advertising has always adapted as technology has evolved. From traditional creative services to digital marketing, software engineering and now applied artificial intelligence, the company continues to invest in innovation that delivers practical commercial value rather than technology for technology’s sake.

With BeCareers approaching launch and early employer interest already building, the award marks an exciting moment for the product and the company’s journey.

Congratulations to Lynn Hughes and the entire Human Advertising team on this well-deserved recognition.
